Until your prospects can see how your offer brings value to them personally, it’s just another vague statement they see every day. Your prospects don’t care about your business opportunity. They are seeking SOLUTIONS to their problems. You must educate your prospects in the way that moves them to acquire the Products or Services you are promoting.

Remember, its’ not about the Product but HOW the Product is delivered. The quality of your product or service is very important but how can people find out if they can’t see it? If we cannot relay the benefit to the client, we won't truly be effective.  After all you want loyalty from your customer so they will continue to do business with you. I guess what we are saying is that "we trust you" and want to be partners with you. In The Automotive Sales Fraternity™ trust is a cornerstone.

"Prospects are just people. Don't 'lie' or 'mislead' them--engage them, listen to them and serve them. This is much more than a change in tactics--it's a philosophical shift in thinking, and a practical shift in acting." Please read our CODE of ETHICS it previews the type of leadership we need in The Automotive Sales Fraternity.™

To me, at least, it is all about being truthful with other people, whether it is business or personal. Here are some ways to build better business relationships:

• Be yourself: Not the hardest thing to do. Be the same way you are around your friends, after all we are making new friends.

• Someone has to break the ice: Instead of playing the corporate game, why not play the personal game?

• Find common ground: Everyone has something in common. The key is to look for it or ask a few questions.

• Don't try to impress: Sometimes, when we meet new people, we want to seem impressive or important to them. To me, the nicer someone is, or the more open they are, the more impressed I get. Also if your only goal is to try to "sell them" something. People can see right through this, and they quickly will realize that you are not there to form a relationship, but to satisfy your financial goals.

• Be the way with them you would like them to be with you: "Treat people the way you want to be treated."

The question of having a training program for newbies and established veterans is an issue. Without a program, new salespeople will make mistakes while in their learning curve that will require assistance and intervention from other team members, slowing everyone down. We offer a solution.
