i believe being a trainer with automax for many years that the intial contact with a customer is the best training you can give new salesman....the meet and greet and initial interview...getting the customers wants and needs...not just...how can i help you....dealers dont want to show them this...they have no patience at all

It is a good thing you are a great (and i mean great) trainer, bobby, since you do not know how to use the shift key. :-)

It appears that attitude and behavior are winning. What most good trainers do, is start off exactly with making sure that this is in place. We can have 'rah rah" sessions and not learn a whoot. The idea is to be straight in what we do and it all starts off with Attitude, COMMITMENT, wanting to do this properly. Stinking thinking has no place and the Joe Jurrassics of the world have to play a dimishing role in today's dealer marketplace.  STAY AWAY from NEGATIVITY. It drains the lifeblood from us. It is too easy to get sucked into playing games of what's in it for me. Companys and I mean all companys talk this way, How many actually mean it, or are they just trying to get the most out the their workers to their own self gain. If it walks like a fish, smells like a fish and looks like a fish, then cook it and eat it. or RUN to a company that not only talks but acts.
