Permalink Reply by Tom Gorham on December 8, 2010 at 3:12pm I think this is a good analysis in the US market.
Ramaswamy Ganesan said:Ford & GM - USA, Hyundai & Kia from Korea would be the major player and see the biggest increase in sales volume in 2011.
Reason : Ford & GM is customer focused now with new models!
Hyundai & Kia are very aggressive in marketing and with latest new models along with more features.

Permalink Reply by Jim Richter on December 9, 2010 at 9:56pm Are you talking about unit sales? or % of increase? by units I'd say Ford right now, with DCJF(iat) not far behind over the next year as their new product kicks in. By % of increase I'd forcast Hyundai/Kia and Subaru, but they obviously start from a much lower sales base.
Permalink Reply by Dan Ladd on December 10, 2010 at 9:22am How large an increase does the group forecast for the US retail market from 2010 to 2011?
Chrysler is asking all their dealers for a 50 to 60% increase for that period.
What kind of odds would the group give for that kind of increase happening?

Inside the USA sales, I would think GM has the product, the factories and the opportunity. World wide, I don't see Toyota throwing in the towel anytime soon.
