What is your faith like...is it a noun, a thing, or a verb, something in action to which others might point and remark there is something "different" about you.
This is not an academic exercise. There is nothing that Jesus preached or His apostles wrote about faith and following Christ that is not verb-oriented. Yes, faith itself is a noun, but as James says, faith without works is dead. Please do not read this to mean works = salvation. Scripture is very clear that salvation is by faith alone.
So, what do we mean by being a Verb Christian? Is it attending church or tithing or donating time and money to charity...or taking care of an elder relative? These are all good things we all should do, if presented with the opportunity. Church attendance by itself simply says the individual attends church -- it reveals nothing about their changed heart, their obedience to Christ's commands or their submission of their ego/themselves/stuff/TV/sport/business to God and to others (especially their spouse).

Comment by Tom '1TeamSynergy' Wiegand on November 29, 2012 at 10:52am God-incidence Michael! Do you agree that God likes to allow us to witness more of his miracles when we stop to appreciate them, AND thank Him?
Comment by Michael Rodriguez on November 29, 2012 at 10:32am I had a sister from church come in yesterday for paint touch up a newly purchase Lincoln MKZ from one of my sales reps. Out of the four dealerships she visited, we were the last stop she made before purchasing her vehicle. We prayed over double-mindedness and fear she was displaying on a purchase from us. The fear was of the economy and gas prices and uncertainty. I prayed that the word of the enemy would not infiltrate her mind and we 'refastened' her helmet of salvation against the fiery darts being thrown at her, she was grateful that I brought out what her fears were and left happy, thank you Jesus.
