I HAVE A SMALL USED CAR LOT STOCKING ON THE AVERAGE 40 CARS. I AM A ONE MAN OPERATION. IVE BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1981. HOWEVER THE LAST 2 YEARS IVE HAD TO LOOK AT MY BUSINESS IN  NEW WAYS. HOW IMPORTANT IS A BUDGET? HAVENT HAD ONE SINCE I BEEN IN BUSINESS. THANKS

I am not too close to the budget side as we are a supplier, but have a pretty good handle on expenses that Dealerships experience. Do you have an idea of how much you are paying to suppliers over the past 12 months?

 

If you could provide me with some fairly accurate total spend numbers by category, I could help you estimate savings opportunities by doing business differently - Strategic sourcing.
