Automotive executive with over 16 years experience working at a dealership level. Seeking a position and/or working partnership where my knowledge, skills and talents will help in the immediate and long term growth of the company. I started my automotive career in Febuary, 1995 at Leith Automotive Group in Fayetteville, NC under the direct teaching of Ralph Crawford, Matt Hanson and Cliff Ferrell, who currently serves as the General Manager @ Leith Mercedes. I started in direct sales under the Mitsubishi brand, grew quickly in the business, selling from across the board – Acura, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Kia.

Yes the job description has changed. A LOT as you noted. But if I'm a DP (and I was) I expect my GM to evolve with the changes in the market. That is what I pay him to do. His pay is going to be paid on results ...Period ! The day of the 6 figure GM based on his experience is long gone. Today the new GM is either gaining market share New & Used or he is failing. Both in Fixed Ops & Sale. It's his responsible to know his position in his market. He is either "Below , At, or Ahead" in market share. If he is in the first slot "below" market....he better know why he is and have and action plan to change it by the end of 2015.
