BOTS EXPOSED: Defining & Uncovering Your Wasted Ad Spend

Over the last several months, it’s been refreshing to see more and more automotive leaders shifting their focus from quantity to quality when it comes to their website traffic and overall marketing. Rather than holding value in the number of site visits, the value has shifted to the…

ARE YOU IN THE DARK? The Dark Truth About Bot Traffic

Sometime in the 1890’s, marketing pioneer John Wanamaker coined the famous phrase, “Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half.” Personally, I have always hated this phrase. My old boss and mentor would say it to me all of the time. However, advertisers have lived within the confines of this mindset ever since.…

The Science Behind Customer Loyalty

One challenge all businesses face is creating loyal customers. As business owners, we try to analyze our customers to figure out what methods we can use to build that base of customers which is so important to future growth. Without loyal customers, your efforts at customer acquisition quickly go from growing your business to replacing defecting customers.

I found Bobby Fischer...He helped me close a deal.

Todays Turbo Charged Dealer World Blog is a core training element that should be visited over and over again.  Probably something we all know, but just great to keep in the "top of mind" awareness section of the brain.

ASK YOUR TROOPS, WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT, THAT THE CUSTOMER LIKE THEIR SALESMAN OR THAT THEY LIKE THE CAR YOUR SHOWING THEM?
You will more than likely get some varying answers. Then share this with them:
If the customer likes the car, and…

Free Basics.

It is spring time in the North East.   Beautiful weather and time to really enjoy the selling season.  I enjoy this time because it give us a renewed energy and fire to market and brand our cars.   A dealership I consult for has a nice used inventory.  We put some signs on the sides of the cars and as I walked the lot I noticed that we had a 4x4 pick up truck quad cab and a nice one, a little older but really nice.  It had a huge 24X48 graphic on it that said $269.00 a month.   I thought…

True 2% Car... We are idiots

I get that 2% is a nice market share and that True Car will grow this year.   But I read an article yesterday that also states that they only accounted for 2% of the market share.   I own a direct mail company and I bet if we did some numbers we would find out that direct mail accounted for 5% plus of the market sales last year. (I wish we could get that kind of publicity)  True Car is Advertising and we are giving them a ton of publicity and a lot of our time and energy for a 2% share and a…

Change...Why or Why not?

First I would like to wish everybody a happy and healthy new year.

Yesterday was 50 degrees in northeast PA and was to nice to be inside. After doing a few things around the house my 10 year old son wanted to go play some baseball. While I was pitching to him he was fouling off some pitches and was getting frustrated. To make a long story short, he was stepping toward third base and all I told him was to step toward me. Yes, he still fouled some off, but he was hitting more fair and…

How much does physical well being play in our business.

About a year ago, I stopped messing around with the occasional work out and and the I "think" I eat well program.  I went crazy, 6 days a week of workouts, eating lots and lots of chicken, rice, and fish, protein shakes, and loads of supplements to include, Ginko, fish oil, borage oil, flaxseed oil, massive antioxidants, etc...  Bottom line is that I am looking forward to 2012 now and feel I am in the zone. I feel awesome.  Might look like 100 bucks but I feel like a million...lol Never been…
