The Journey Of Serving and Selling Gratefully!~
The journey of serving and selling gratefully is a philosophy that ties into the art of persuasion, it creates opportunity to serve one another, the ultimate benefit in taking care of ones self and family guilt free - SERVE2SELL is a positive way of life when done ethically, professionally and gratefully.
I believe there comes a time in life to stop, reflect, observe, appreciate and smell the flowers - per se! It's at times of reflection that allow for creativity and spiritual connection to happen.
In recent years I've experienced more miracle and spiritual type of scenarions than I can shake a stick at. I feel deeply spiritualized most days, an extreme level of positive physical energy,- when one eliminates the box to think outside of, it's at that time we can see what we're really and truly made of.
I believe in order to truly fulfill one's own destiny, it requires a deep level of humility and a certain mental toughness to take it on. It's in doing what one loves that creates the passion to do it well. In a world of get all you can, I like to think along the lines of - give it all you got!~
As a grateful member of dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing I have taken the time to analyze my personal growth, the gain and love for wisdom; in doing this I have a renewed desire and an appreciation for the Automotive Industry as I did when I sold my very first Automobile at the age of 21. I shared a blog in the year of 2010 called UTP - Ultimate Training Platform, in this I share a bit of my personal experience as a car salesman, my lack of exposure to some of the absolute great trainers of the industry, and my perception of the evolution and future of dealerELITE.
I've been participating on the dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing communities since 2010. Prior to my membership, I had never given any thought to creating training videos, let alone to write a book or to truly take the necessary action to stake my place as a real deal contributor of this great industry.
I feel deeply indebted to the founders and members of dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing. My membership means the world to me, the direction in life and my personal career is a direct reflection of the great leadership on these powerful platforms. It's through leadership by example that has inspired me to take my first run at creating training videos as I did in 2012, and now to write my very first book SERVE2SELL the goal is to be completed by the end of 2013.
I generally learn things the hard way, having never ventured down the path of being a published author, I'm sure this will as well be a great learning and spiritual journey for myself. It's a spiritual not material journey!~
I believe it's in the act of humility that creates the greatest opportunity for gain. Never let the ego mind stand in the way of a humble heart, learning is humility gift wrapped in opportunity for growth and development - BE HUMBLE. I must practice what I preach.
I have brought full circle my personal views of inspiration, motivation and education by creating this eBook dedicated to dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing. If there be one single message through all of this, it is to pursue the dream, a step in the right direction starts with the first one, who we surround ourselves with counts in the long run.
No matter what level of success, there will always be someone ahead of you, and behind you, and to know it's not always about you. I believe the key is to never forget that we are all behind someone else at all times, that we learn from each other with no limitations. Show those who are hungry to learn that they are better than they think they are! Bring the best out of people, never to place limits on ones dreams,- the great challenge is to motivate from the bottom up - never to discourage from the TOP DOWN!~
A shallow prayer of thanks is greater than a deep well of wishes - GIVE THANKS!~
Thank You to the founders and members of dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing.
We may not have it all together, but together we can have it all!~ Zig Ziglar

Comment by Bobby Compton on January 19, 2013 at 10:28am Some heart felt words here brother, Marsh! THANK YOU
I'm grateful that you chose to stick around, you're a great inspiration to me. I too have been and look forward to being a Motivational Listener a "sponge" to all the great wisdom here on dE! Your shares from see you on the black top perspective are refreshing,- real deal insight that I understand and can appreciate!~
Everyone makes mistakes, not one big on regrets, I grew up tough and then I grew up long ago! I have a deep passion for my chosen profession, I have enjoyed helping others along, my greatest success is that of others and for that I am truly grateful. A favorite quote of mine by Zig Ziglar - I honestly believe I have felt your feelings I've walked in your shoes you have made some mistakes and you may not be where you want to be, but that has nothing to do with your future! Mr. Ziglar was the modern day warrior of spreading hope, I believe we should take heed to Mr. Ziglar's modern day teachings and to communicate that a similar philosophy for the generations of today and to come!
I do believe in Destiny, I believe our paths our preplanned, it's up to us to choose the chosen path,- we all live and die with our choices! One thing for sure, there's always a greater mission than self, it's never a difficult task finding ways to improve, personally and professionally! Hold the hand of humility tightly, to do "just" this much is great success!~
God is the ultimate forgiver and giver, he takes and he gives, he tears down and he builds again,- I believe the truest sense of strength is not of self will rather greater is the spiritual gain is in the pursuit of selflessness! Somethings are already best said, Zig Ziglar taught philosophy based on biblical principals and I feel he said it best for modern day people to comprehend: - "You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want" I believe this is the test of time and one of the most difficult messages for people to practice, this is why I believe Zig Ziglar made it a point to push such a clear and precise message - be the helping hand!~
We live in a society of get all you can! Be the best you,- give it all you got!~
Mr. Buice, you have a friend in me. Age is never a factor, rather a youthful mind and a willingness to learn. Maturity is to embrace and appreciate humility of the lesson!~
See you on the black top! Always go the extra mile... If you can't run it... WALK IT!~
GOD SPEED BROTHER.................
Comment by Marsh Buice on January 18, 2013 at 9:49pm Brother, I'm definitely on "Team Compton-" I never told you this, but when I first began posting, I thought it was all for nothing-as I wrote, I didnt feel I was able to help anyone, because my writings generated no comments or feedback. Then one day, my email chimed and it was your comment on my blog that sparked the fire. You were the first person to comment on one of my blogs and because you did, I was renewed instantly. One never knows when a kind, encouraging word will cause someone to get back in the game. Bobby, I almost walked away and it was your encouragement that kept me writing. I've never met you in person, I've met you years ago spiritually and from that time forward we've had a brothered connection-for that I am grateful.
In our conversations, you've shared with me a bit of your journey-filled with mistakes, riddled with regrets-Bobby, your trials have been the trails that will lead you to your triumphs. I see nothing but great things for you-you've set the bar for this book and I know, God will open the doors for you in mighty ways. This is only the beginning. You are willing to be used, you are humble, you've given when you didn't have it to give, encouraged when you had no hope, and took action in the face of defeat. Thanks for being there for me- I'll see you at the next mile marker!
Comment by Holly Pagán on January 17, 2013 at 1:22pm I AM WITH YOU 100%!! This is so relieving and inspiring to read!! Over the years I have fought internally with the path I've chosen and how unfulfilling (so I thought) my position is.....until recently. I've realized I AM HELPING PEOPLE!! -The person who's credit that has suffered from medical judgement's all because they made the choice to save their son's life vs. saving a score on a piece of paper or -the battered woman that needs transportation to get her children to and from school, make it to work and all for a fraction of what we make.....
Sure, I'm not rescuing puppies, or caring for our elders, but those positions aren't for me! The people doing the rescuing and caring are built for that, I'm made for this business!! A year ago I went full speed ahead into an attempt of building my own dynasty; a Consulting Service which I then flipped into a "Mail Sale" Company strictly to get my foot in the door and prove my abilities. As usual, thinking got the best of me.....I did it all for nothing, basically to own a URL. I talked MYSELF out of it and back to "the box" I went!! But it wasn't the same...
This post, however, reminds me of what I need to be doing, and what my heart is yearning for!! I KNOW I can teach others who are willing to learn!! I KNOW I can show a sales floor how to WOW clientel, and give them tips needed to continue to do so in the future. I can prove that trickery is not required for gross and is more of a nuisance practice than selling and disclosing! The person you need to trick is the person that will find out, and WILL come back to cancel. They will not only cancel your products and profit, but will cancel you out as an establishment to buy from in the future! Just like our customer's, I CAN LEAVE A LASTING IMPRESSION with an owner and sale's force that shows the difference between mediocrity and going "that extra mile" to create a lasting, special experience. Not only benefiting their pocket, repeat customer base, but also the energy and moral throughout the showroom floor. We should be proud to be in this business!! We should be proud to have been chosen as the one to have helped in assisting with most people's 2nd largest purchase of a lifetime!!
Everything happens for a reason, and I am so glad to have read this today. You have truly opened my eyes, and have given me that "sign" that most can only hope for.
DealerElite, I too am EXTREMELY grateful that this site was created by the creators; thankful that I just so happened to come across it during an innocent search; and of course to be recognized and accepted as an Automotive Professional. I couldn't have read this article without the existence of DealerElite!!
Thank You!!
Holly
Comment by Tom Gorham on January 15, 2013 at 10:59am Bobby, that's a great story and an indication that you are "crazy" great! I'm sure it was an impressive illustration that stuck in their minds forever! Thank you for sharing that!
Comment by Bobby Compton on January 14, 2013 at 10:10pm It's gentleman like yourself whom I hold in the absolute highest of regard Mr. Gorman!~ There's something to be said for being in the trenches, as a matter of fact I personally love the trenches! I believe by staying in the trenches is what gives us our superior insight and the ultimate edge. It's in the experience of doing that is always the greater of difference!~
I will share a short story with you. I was hired to trouble shoot a dealership a few years back, I took the entire team on a tour of the facility, the restrooms were a mess to say the least. I cleaned the toilets in front of the team, they thought I was a little crazy - of course a lot crazy I am. When I was done, I shared with them the importance of leading by example, and that if I as their leader care enough about their success and that I'm not too good to clean a toilet, then they most certainly can step up their expectations as to how they care about themselves, the facility, their careers!~
Elimination of EGO requires humility, EGO-LESS is the fuel to a wise mind and a truly positive reality!~
Thank you, DITTO right back at ya my classy brother!~
Comment by Tom Gorham on January 14, 2013 at 8:56pm Bobby, I'm a big fan of yours. I love and respect all that you said here. But my favorite is this:
"I feel deeply indebted to the founders and members of dealerELITE and Automotive Digital Marketing. My membership means the world to me, the direction in life and my personal career is a direct reflection of the great leadership on these powerful platforms."
I'll keep it short. DITTO!
