When you look up the word motivate in the dictionary, you’ll find that there are a great number of definitions to describe what it motivation is. The one that I particularly enjoy is, “stimulate enthusiasm in doing something, or for doing something.”
Motivation can come from external sources – we can wait around for someone to stimulate enthusiasm within us – though you’ll never fully live the game changer life by subscribing to that mindset. Game changers don’t rely on external motivation to get the job done. While those at the undertaker, caretaker, and playmaker levels of performance require the pep talks, the pats on the back, and other things to stimulate their enthusiasm – the game changer's motivation comes from within. They can appreciate the external motivation, but they view it as unnecessary, because they are passionate and enthusiastic about where they are headed.
In this week’s episode of my podcast, I share 7 ways (4 do’s and 3 don’ts) for you to get more self-motivated, create your own enthusiasm, and become unstoppable in your pursuit of the game changer life.
