A Check-Up from the Neck-Up
The essence of escapism, True entertainment movie of the 70’s, Jaws, of the 80’s Top Gun. Rock groups like Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rush, U2. They have the ability to appeal to people decade in and decade out.
People can watch these movies and listen to these bands with passion, like time has the ability to stand still. The energy is always there in both the performers and the audience. How is this possible? Is it balance? The meaning of balance Webster’s 1: Equality between the totals of the two sides of an Account. 2: Mental and emotional steadiness.
Show me success!!! At never ending levels. I will show you the antonyms. Imbalance, Unbalance, balance, in my professional opinion, is used as a scapegoat, for underachieving, failing and ultimately EXCUSES… We live in an instantaneous-gratification society, that is totally result driven. Let’s stop talking and start performing!!!
How do we do this? Look at owners in sports; John Henry of the Boston Red Sox, Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots. Watch Bill Belichick, Tony LaRussa or Doc Rivers. Every one of these people work on overload. They work 80-100 hours every week, love what they do, are driven, give back to society and care for humanity. Where’s the balance?
Make sure you have a daily plan. Load it up. Make sure you stop yourself each and every hour and ask yourself two questions. 1. Am I putting out 100% productivity? 2. Am I being 100% helpful to myself and everyone around me right now? This is the start for producing more.
Productivity – A measure relating a quantity or quality of output to the inputs required to produce it.
Measure your output daily. Managers, call 40 customers a day. Current deals, past sales. Be productive. Salespeople, call 30 people a day. This would be a huge start. Remember massive production while working will produce more results. Do not become the essence of escapism, for excuses, falling short of your goals.
Everyone has the ability to do better!!! TAP into your ability now!!! Stand up… and stand out!!! You and your family deserve it!!! Have a huge action plan for production. Enjoy the rewards!!! Become that professional that everyone wants to do business with!!! You have earned it!!!
