There is an old expression, "You can't judge a book by its cover."  But, as the author of 10 books (#11 will be "Auto Sales for Dummies with Anthony Bartoli), I can tell you that statement is false.  My publishers spend almost as much on having a great cover design as they do on the entire layout process of the book.  Why?

They want to impress you into buying the book.  Now, some of my books have sold because they were recommended.  Others were sold because large organizations bought them for their people.  Still others were sold because I did promotional appearances at bookstores, on radio and TV.  But, I know I also sold books through book stores just because of the cover.  (These books have sold over 700,000 copies and have been translated into a dozen languages.)

I do not share my publishing success to impress you.  Rather to impress upon you to really compare content when engaging any recruiting and training organization.

Mine Is Bigger, Better, Badder...

When we designed our web site, we designed it to inform and demonstrate what we do for our client dealers.  We had graphic designers trying to sell us on exploding opening pages, blaring music and a lot of, well, graphics. We chose to ignore that and just provide content.  Our videos are unedited raw content.  You see what students and dealers see.

We never brag about having 200 - 300 - or more sites to post your jobs on.  The reason is, there aren't that many.  We post on the ones that get the most interviews to show up at your dealership.  That's the only way to get the results our dealers deserve.  Believe me, if there was one site that would get us our average of 35-50 interviews, I would give up the expense of all the others.

If you notice, we never post jobs on our own site(s).  We also never post on other sites we own that are automotive related.  The reason is simple.  95% of the applicants we hire and train did not expect to be looking for a job in auto sales.  They were looking for a career opportunity.  Generally, the only people looking for automotive postings are "experienced" sales people with bad habits.

Finally, we are truly specialists.  You'll never here us tell a dealer, "We do that too."  While on occasion, we do develop specific programs for key clients, our total focus and marketing is to help dealers hire the right people for their sales team.  If a dealer is looking for a manager or a service writer and we come across one, we send them over as a referral.  It's not another source of income.

The bottom line is, our senior people are in the field training on a weekly basis.  We know what you're experiencing TODAY!  Our principles and core values are decades old, but our techniques and training are written and designed for THIS CENTURY!  And, you don't have to take our word for it.  John Wiley & Son, the oldest publisher in America, thought so much of our content that when they decided to develop "Auto Sales for Dummies," they came to us.

Shouldn't you?

We've got a real need for trainers.  Our growth has just increased by signing a new dealer group in the Northeast to a long term training agreement and a 13 store group out west.  A New York/MA dealer group has replaced their former hiring company with us (We just completed 4 dealership campaigns in the last few weeks.  A State Veteran Administration has asked us to train the veterans in the state for careers in auto sales.  That's just in the last quarter.

A Dealer Resource Group trainer is NEVER charged a booking fee or a per student fee.  The money generated in the dealership through the skill and effort of the trainer is kept by the trainer - 100% of the time. The trainer is never charged for training materials for the students.  And we never ask trainers to charge students for services that will never be used.

We're not looking for trainers who can pay a fee, we want true auto experts who can learn to train.
