Every Dealer Needs to Be on DealerElite. Spread the Word.

I'm a big fan of collaboration. Always have been and always will be. The idea that two heads are better than one gets multiplied exponentially as the numbers improve. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts when discussions, best practices, and trends within an industry are discussed.

It's for this reason that communities like DealerElite need to flourish.

Anyone who follows my writing knows that I'm active here, on ADM, and on Driving Sales. I'm a firm believer that all three major automotive networks have their place in the automotive marketing community, particularly when it comes to vetting out the "shiny, bouncy balls" that are constantly presented to us all. Dealers, vendors, OEMs - everyone takes pitches on a regular basis about how this product or that service can be beneficial. Communities like DealerElite are ideal for getting feedback about it all.

The way I see it, DealerElite is the venue through which dealers have the most individual influence potential. ADM is arguably the best venue through which vendors, dealers, and other industry professionals can debate the ins and outs of marketing. Driving Sales is the best place for dealers to see what vendors are doing right or wrong. DealerElite is the place where top-notch, tech-savvy, cutting-edge dealers can come to discuss specifics.

If you're a dealership employee, you should be encouraging your team to join and participate in DealerElite. You should be taking it outside of your dealership as well at 20 groups and the like. The more dealers that participate here, the better the chances that we can all learn about what's working and what's not.

If you're a vendor, you should be encouraging your clients to participate. The more informed the industry is, the better it will be for those vendors who understand the value of participation. The 800lb gorillas are muscling out the nimble companies who provide better products and services but who don't have the presence to reach the masses. On DE, we have the ability to inform, encourage, and enlighten industry professionals to seek the truth.

If you're reading this, make it a goal to inform someone in the industry whenever you can that participation in DE should be a mandatory best practice for overall dealership success. The more that play, the better the game.

Well done, JD!  Collaboration invites inside and outside the box thinking, invites single-minded focus to mature to synergy focus.  Many conferences, for instance, focus on one area of a dealership's business.  The upcoming Automotive Super Conference March 13 & 14 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway offers biblical solutions to better every area of a dealership business, while attendees get an exhilarating ride around the track in a Pace Car to further charge up their first day.    Exciting times we're in for sure.  Will you be there bringing along many of your loyal following?  Blessings JD

JD excellent, timely post my friend. Our industry is full of talent and dE should be the platform where we can share and learn from one another. We're all too busy, but when and where we can come together and colaborate on what we are seeing in our industry will bring about the change we wish to see. thanks for your contributions JD.
