Is Auto Trader as effective as they used to be?

Hello Dealer Elite Members......

It looks like Auto Trader needs money much like Facebook did a while ago, and you know how that has gone so far!

As I travel around the country ans work with dealers on maximizing leads, traffic and driving more sales I have noticed more and more that dealerships are looking for "FREE" or low cost ways to promote their vehicles. Sites like Craigs's List and kijiji (Ebay), are currently changing the online marketing landscape.

Now don't get me wrong Ebay, Auto Trader and others may still have a role in this space, but i know it has become difficult for them to compete with the traffic Craig's list and kijiji are driving right now. I even have a few dealers who are looking at or have already pulled the plug on Auto Trader. The reason is simple, they get more business from the "FREE" ads the put on Craig's list and other sites.

They are using software like V12 to get it done and have dedicated individuals who advertise and maintain thier website in the store to make sure it gets done.

The other thing they do very well is design the advertisement so they generate sales calls and then have a process and a dedicated team to make sure they maximize every opportunity and sell cars.

If you have questions, or would like to know how you can maximize your Internet, Social Media, Sales, Service or Internet department please call me at 1 877 452 2753 anytime.

"Process beats activity every time"

Make it a great day and remember to test and measure any advertising you do before you make any radical changes. What works in some markets in terms of advertising may not work as well in another market. Test, test, test, measure and grow your business today!

Make it a great day!
