SIMPLE STUPID STUFF

  1. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
  2. Consider hiring a real estate tax guru to challenge the local assessor. The savings more than pays for the cost.
  3. Consider hiring a computer guru to review your DMS statement. The guru usually will find substantial savings and is worth the expense.
  4. When delivering paperwork to a manager or employee and they are not at their desk put the paperwork on their chair. It won’t get lost in the mess on their desk.
  5. Take a pressure break. Don’t burnout. Tell the dealer you need a day off to recharge the batteries. Make it a three day weekend.
  6. Consider leveling out office supplies and utility expense with a constant monthly standard entry. Adjust the entry upward or downward monthly.
  7. Keep a log to track implemented expense reductions you have recommended.
  8. When the month is closed and the statement is pulled, take the rest of the day off. You earned it.
  9. A good manager is a good checker. Don’t assume a job is getting done.

10. Check the bank account on the internet each morning.

11. Get creative. Don’t accept the usual way of doing business.
