I actually have a rule in my house that no decisions are made on major purchases within 24 hours of a presentation. I have been burnt so many times by making a decision based on emotion! I don't fault those customers at all.. I completely understand the conservative stance! Not all buyers are liars!
These days "Let me think about it" can take on new meaning. It often means, "I have all the information I need so now I want to go home and use the Internet to negotiate the deal."
