Wow Dave...Where are these dealerships doing this great stuff for no performance. In our business, the grass has ALWAYS been greener on the other side. I'm entitled, where do I sign? Here in our group, not are we entitled to nothing, but I got banned from free Saturday lunches for complaining about the white bread sandwhiches...And I'm in management.

One thing for sure about working in our group..We ain't ENTITLED to nothin'.

I'll say it again ...  I have turned around 7 dealerships. At the heart of every issue is entitlement. Either there are 3 or 4 people who are enetitled and can stop progress or the dealer is afraid of losing the "long term" employee who, in turn, is the one always threatening to leave if they don't get their way. Your progam on " A fish rots at the head" goes a long way here.

Outstanding work Dave!

I couldn't agree with you more. I like it best when you say,- "they qualify for the privilege to participate." How very true this is, a privilege!

You knocked this one out of the ball park my friend...

If more dealers would rid themselves of sacred cows and allow merit to take over, they would see the profit they forecast.

I had never made the connection between entitlement and accountability, very thought provoking.
