"Be careful what you wish for ... you might get it". 

In every store, either sales won't be able to keep-up with marketing or marketing won't be able to keep-up with sales.Management should realize the need is to increase the speed of the slower not to slow-down the faster. Consider the era of musclecars. Performance came decades before handling, braking, safety,comfort, fuel economy and crash worthiness. 

A dealer once actually said to me, "We do not want more leads, we already have more than we can handle".  It seem bizarre because you cannot have more money than you can spend  - but - there is a strange justification for not wanting to waste "excessive" leads, Allowing weakness to set the pace is ridiculous.
