Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael Lindquist. I am a freelance warranty administrator/consultant. I am a 37 year veteran of parts and service. I have been an independent since 1996.

You might be asking what sets me apart from other warranty administrators or outside companies? That would be because I come from a service and parts back ground. At some point in my career, I have held every position in parts and service with the exception of parts manager and shop foreman. I have spent the time in dealers watching how processes unfold.

Many blogs and training are geared toward different departments, how to sell more cars, how to upsell service, how to manage a department. Even warranty training usually consists of how to put op codes on a claim and how to send the claim. The difference in what I offer is to evaluate and make suggestions for improvement in the service and parts processes as the claim goes from write up at the service desk through submission and getting the claim paid.

One hiccup in the process can create a situation where a claim will either get rejected or denied. I have seen this unfold time and time again.
