In the effort to make a sale some sales approaches can lack some very serious ingredients. Pushing a customer without qualifying their needs and not providing honest feedback is like covering a wound with a temporary bandage.

Definition of BAND-AID: offering, making use of, or serving as a temporary or expedient remedy or solution

It is a salesperson’s job to sell, but quality selling always most values long term relationships and not just “How can I make a quick buck!” Honesty is the key to any important relationship. Shared expectations produce much greater production. Live by the rule “under-promise and over-deliver”. Saying “no” is NOT a bad thing because you allow your customer to realize they will benefit from your truthful answers. I have found that If you always tell the truth, your prospect will tell you their truths.

Success and achievement in life requires that you highly engage with constructive daily value achievements! Those who value real results from actions they make far greater use of their time, leading to higher levels of success and achievement in life.

Try a little experiment. When you meet with others, immediately put yourself in their shoes. Think only of what they want. Listen carefully to what they are saying, and show genuine concern and empathy. Do this for the entire week and watch how the interaction changes the entire “sales” conversation become more animated and the prospect interest and involvement jumps to a different dynamic level!

Bobby! You are always sold on yourself that I know for a fact. A person like yourself, that brings so much positive energy to all people - surely must know he has conquered the task of self believe and worth! You Can't Sell Anything If You Can't Sell Yourself ! In your case I might rephrase that to something that you know very well - called "Attraction Marketing" :-)

Bobby - Are you sold on yourself? If so - Great!! Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do:-)

No need to apologize at all.  Glad that you posted it.  I wish more people in this industry shared the passions and concerns of the consumer as you do.  Maybe if you keep preaching the morals and values of business ethics, it may become contagious.  You rock!!

Hi Lizelle,

Just wanted to drop a note to say once again that I love reading your posts.  You seem so genuine and sincere and best of all, tell it the way you feel it.  That is a rare person to find in this day and age especially in the automotive business.  I look forward to reading more of your posts in the near future.

Take care.  Your biggest fan :)

Craig

Lizelle I could not agree more and that is why you are bringing so much success to PCG. You focus and listen on what the customer is needing, not "selling" them a product. Thanks for geting out and sharing with others.

Thanks Guys! Since I lost my voice today I have no other outlet tonight LOL :-)

Craig, its so nice to hear that you agree and share this insight that i hold very close to my daily living and that you can connect in this manner. There are few individuals that are willing to speak and give advise. Have we not all fallen down a crap load of times before ?- Advise, opinions, suggestions - whatever you call it. I believe it’s wonderful to run a business centered around helping people, and helping people help people LOL!

If the demand is there and if it truly benefits people, then this should be a no Brainer of a perfect recipe for super success !  I think it’s the more intelligent businesses and individuals that can step out of the "ITS ABOUT ME" box , and possibly agree with me? There is ONE industry that will NEVER go out of business! Humanity- the good old human race. I actually am starting to believe that we all sales people the "LOUSY" sales people are lousy because the live a life of excuses and the great ones are the ones who take accountability. We all can sell - depends how badly you WANT IT!!

Think about it : Life requires that you are good at selling yourself. Politics!! ahhh - You don’t have to be the smartest, most experienced nor most intelligent person to become elected President of the United States! If you want the man or women of your dreams, doesn't that require selling and sometimes serious efforts of convincing? lol - We all have it within us - but we don't all want it as bad as we should!
