The guy who demands that you lose thousands to sell him a vehicle...

The lady who you can never satisfy in service-even at no charge...
The 3rd baseman who "used to be in the car business" just blew your deal....
The guy who snaps and goes off on you because simply because you Up'd him...
The couple you worked with last week-the ones you thought you hit it off with, came in to buy today from another salesperson saying they wanted nothing to do with you...
Your manager sides with the guy who swore to them that you said that their new vehicle had Bluetooth-they have it now and you get to pay for it.
Your marathon deal-the one that you worked all day on suddenly becomes a split deal.
These are "Singles..."
Singles are the issues that make you want to quit, throw your hands and finger up and walk out the door...
Even though the uh-oh's and unfortunate circumstances...the uninformed, and unreasonable customers equate to such a small percentage of our day, we allow them to become the major influence to our month, year, career, and life.
When you are going through...
When it all seems unfair...
When others seem unruly...
When you can't win for losing...
Say to yourself that what you are experiencing right now are just part of the "singles."

You work in averages...
Determine right now, that you will not let one event, person, or happenstance chart the course of your career. Just add them to the stack and keep it moving. When you stop trying is when you begin losing.
Will it happen again? Will it happen with the next customer? Sure it will, but they won't have near the effect they had on you before if you're willing to change the way and how long you look at them.
Singles grow your character...
Averages grow your career.
I'll see you next time on the Blacktop!

Beautiful point and reminder, "the singles" will drag you down if you let them. And it happens sometimes no matter what, so it helps to put things in perspective from time to time. Thanks
