You spend a lot of time with your employees, and you're responsible for what they do for a large part of the day. As a result, you have a huge impact on their happiness. In fact, more than 60 percent of employees say that their manager directly impacts their job satisfaction.


So what do employees want from you? Believe it or not, only a little more than a third of employees said they'd be happier if they got a raise. Most--65 percent--say they just want some recognition for their work.
