Hello everyone, well it is now the 8th of April and things are off to a crawling start for me. I work in the internet sales dept. here at Lokey Nissan in Clearwater, Fl. What I'm attempting to do is get some ideas from everyone on how I can get better. This is important to me because we should all make ourselves and everyone around us better everyday. Leads are not coming in as many at a time so far this month compared to last, does anyone have any suggestions on programs or anything we can do here to be better. I hope to hear from everyone, I cannot wait to learn something new.

Is your website on EVERY advertising you do? Newspaper, Autotrader, TV & Radio - It must be consistently driven home to LOG ON NOW! Once they log on, is the site interesting? easy to use? If you want to grab their attention from the first splash page then try Video on your site - whether it's just posting the latest TV commercial the dealership has produced or making a video about the dealership specifically for the web .... if a picture is worth a thousand words then a video is worth a milllion! ....let me know if I can help.

Mike, a well targeted email campaign that matches up with current sales programs is a great way to pull in more opportunities. Don't wait for the leads to come in. Mine your CRM tool for unsold opportunities.
There is so much you can do to make your vehicles and dealership stand out from everyone else's on the internet. Be sure to have plenty of photos on every vehicle and of your dealership. Customize your comments to engage consumers. Price vehicles based on the market. If you are doing business with Autotrader.com, advise your consultant for ideas. Utilize all of the tools that are available to you through them.

Hi Mike: The Internet can be a confusing place, so take a look at things from the consumers side, and go to sites looking for a vehicle as your customers would. See what sites are easier for the consumer to navigate and the ones that are not. make a check list of the pros and cons and then take a look at what your site looks like, navigates like and how it rates compared to the others. That is a good starting place you can build from there. Don't panic it will all come together.
Remember that it takes a while to sell the typical internet lead. Roughly 90 days. Having a great Follow up and tracking process is paramount to cultivating a consistent E-Department. My store has it's up and down months in terms of leads but is quite consistent in producing E-sales. You may notice that you may have a few days with many leads and a few days later traffic picks up in the Dealership. In good eDepartments, they still have "x" number of internet lead appointments due to the Follow up and tracking process. More and more, the internet buyer is the more serious because they aren't kicking tires. This means that the close % is getting better or more efficient. Make sure you have diversity with your Lead sources and implement and maintain a thorough but efficient Follow up process and continue to make contact and ask for the Appointment until the customer requests that you leave them alone. They want info from you and they want to buy a car. They just don't know from who. Make sure you incorporate reasons to buy from the Dealer and not just why your deal/offer is so great. Stick with it. Leads with come and so will the buyers.
Mike,
Another way to expand the strength of your new car sales is to covert more of your leads by providing any customer who submits a lead with a high-quality and rapid response.
Digital Response Management (DRM) solutions, such as SmartQuote from ResponseLogix, will execute multi-vehicle price quotes within 10 minutes regardless of what the salesperson happens to be doing at that moment, such taking another customer on a test drive.
Good luck, Catherine
The most important item is your website. Is it working for you? Is the site designed to sell? Is it optimized? fusionZONE Automotive answers yes to all of the above. Ask me for details.
Mike I worked with an internet manager at Peterson Toyota in Nothh Carolina. Mike Pitman was selling 10 to 12 cars a month. I got Mike to concentrate on prospecing both old and new customers. I'am new on here and my friends are learning about this site so Mike and others aren't on here yet. Mike is on face book and you can be his friend. He will tell you what changes he has made. Mike delivered 28 cars last month. I will be there next week and we WILL get to 30 plus each month or more. Think BIG and I will help you any way I can. Have a good day.
