Well put... Agree to the approach 100%... But to come to the defense of the OEM's (No I dont work for one)... If dealers performed a good solid walk around across the board and consistently the OEM wouldn't have to be involved in trying to teach something that maybe isn't in their top 10 skills. I think the OEM's are trying to make their dealers profitable, and that's commendable. Why is the walk around still not standard practice? That's the better question.

If you are a car dealer who's been listening to some of the latest guidance from certain trainers and OEM's for your service advisors. then you MUST watch this video clip which explains WHY some of what the OEM's are telling dealers to do in the service drive is BAD ADVICE!
