QR Codes for Automotive Text Message Marketing Campaigns
Text Message Marketing with QR Codes
Text Message Marketing is a great way for an Automotive Dealership to promote inventory and service to your valued customers. Much like E-Mail Marketing, Text Message Marketing requires customers to opt in before they are given updates from your Dealership. Starting a Text Message Marketing Campaign for your dealership is a bit easier when using a QR Code.

It was the first proposal so it reflected a retail price with shorter terms and an average A.P.R. (we hadn’t run credit). The trusty, crusty veteran looked at the proposal and said, “Here’s what I think we should do…” and proceeded to tell me how we should discount the vehicle, stretch the… Continue

The report, based on a survey of 535 “high-achieving and high-earning” Gen Y adults (average age: 27), also shows that blogs and newspapers… Continue

The new tax extensions will hurt 45 million households in America. There are roughly 100 million households in America and this new extension just took an average of $400.00 from 45 million of them. That isn’t a lot of money to some but it is to most of the families that are just getting by already. When the average median income (adjusted for inflation) is already lower by $800.00 and taxes already up 25% to those people since 1970 anyway. Add on top the $300-$500 a month they pay in extra… Continue

I travel frequently around the country and often eat out. But when I’m in unfamiliar locations, I don’t always know where to go to find a decent meal (besides McDonald’s). So I pull out my iPhone and search for restaurants. Let’s say I’m in the mood for Italian. So I type in “Italian restaurant” and see a list of all the Italian restaurants near the street where I’m driving. Right on top of this list, I see an ad… Continue

THE IMPORTANCE OF A TRAFFIC LOG
I was at a Dealership the other day that had laid-off the receptionist. She was also the person that managed The Traffic Log. So I asked the Sales Manager, “who is taking care of the traffic log ? ”... “I am”, he said. .... “Well, when you step out, who manages the log?” ... “The salesmen”, was his answer.…

In the Dealership we can find ourselves in a position where we are Managing more than Leading.
Typically, as the level of responsibility grows, so grows the level of administrative duties. These administrative duties include responsibility for how much to spend on light bulbs for the showroom floor to changing the shop supplies vendors.
Everything in the Dealership somehow manages to come across your desk, right?!
This is part 3 in the Leadership for 2011… Continue

Now is the time to be thinking about your comprehensive marketing plan. In order to be comprehensive today, social media must be included. David Meerman Scott said, “The rules of marketing & PR have changed. Now buyers are finding answers to their problems online. They search Google, read online portals and news sites and are active on social media like Facebook and Twitter. Your buyers watch YouTube videos, listen to bloggers’ advice and opinions, and visit company websites. Are you… Continue

Social Media Index for Dealerships
A great Social Media Campaign for Automotive Dealers requires a bunch of essential components. There’s more to a Social Media Campaign than to have your dealership’s profile created on a billion networking sites. After reviewing a bunch of Social Media Index results for dealerships across the country I’m starting to see what separates great Social Media Campaigns from mediocre ones.
