Excited to know more about Carlos’ journey? We’re so happy to have you watching our video series, Ali Reda’s Road to Sales Success. We’ve been telling you all about Carlos, a new salesman at Les Stanford whose manager and coach just happens to be Mr. Ali Reda. You see, we want to take what Ali did in ten years and condense it into a five year model for success, and Carlos is helping us figure it all out.
Want to know the best part? He started out 100% in the relationship business! Carlos hasn’t taken any transactional customers. He’s beginning his career in a very different way than anyone in our industry ever has before!
Watch this week’s video. Let’s look at the contrast between the transactional and relationship business models.
Let’s think about that, shall we?
71% of new salespeople fail because of tough transactional customers and managers who don’t nurture them through those experiences. Carlos hasn’t had to deal with trying to help anyone who thinks he’s a terrible person. He’s already greeting his customers with a hug. He knows them. There are no defense mechanisms up. They give him all the information he needs while they’re just catching up, and then he gives them the best options. It’s so easy. And if there are any obstacles, Ali is the guy he goes to for the next step.
I know we don’t all have it this good, but there are things you can do to make sure your business works with who you are. Let’s start by asking some questions.
How do you keep it simple?
How do you make things work for you and your customers while staying in total integrity?
How do you make YOUR BUSINESS work for you?
We all need a set of rules to live by. Do you know what yours are?
Want to see mine?
My rules of engagement:
This is YOUR business. Pay attention to what you’re doing out there. Remember who you’re doing it for. Be who you are at your best, and come up with something you can live by.
Post your rules of engagement close to your desk as a constant reminder of your standard of business. If you like mine, just write those down. Have some rules that work better for you? Tell us in the comments below.
