Do you have what it takes to be a Phone Ninja?


Some of you may already know me from Dealer Refresh or ADM, but for those of you who don't, let me introduce myself.  My name is Jerry Thibeau (pronounced teebow) and I am the Founder and President of Phone-up Ninjas.  We specialize in helping automotive professionals improve upon their phone skills.

I love participating in these forums since it's an opportunity to build relationships.  I believe there's no better advertisement than giving back to the community.  Therefore I am going make an offer to personally train a sales rep or BDC agent at no charge.  Here are my requirements:

  1. They must be open to learning new techniques.
  2. You must have some sort of call tracking service where I can search for calls, or you're willing to send them to us on a regular basis.
  3. Must be willing to share coaching sessions with this forum.  Personal information will be stripped from the call.
  4. I want somebody who needs help with their inbound phone technique.
If you would like to be considered for this unique offer, please reply to this thread or send me an e-mail with your name, dealership name and phone number.  I will conduct a brief interview and then choose one or two people to work with over the next 30 days.

I made this offer yesterday and have not received any takers. Certainly there is somebody out there that needs some help. I could pick up the phone and randomly call any of your dealerships and probably find a lot of room for improvement.

If you're a manager in a dealership i would imagine you must have somebody who wants to get better. This is an opportunity to do it for free.

I have work with imports for over 30 years. I started selling with Tom Stucker and am familar with his phone training. Worked with Scott Hembrough for 20 years and personally know Grant Cardone from his beginings and have been through his entire training courses. Having worked for 10 years with Lou Bachrodt one of Cardone dealerships. I am now with Anderson BMW in Crystal Lake-their CRM is Higher Gear. I could use any help I can get.

Jerry,
I would love to be coached by you. I currently work in the BDC at Gary Lang Auto Group in McHenry IL. I have been there for 1 1/2 years. Apparently a long time to be in one place in this line of work; it seems to be a good fit for me.

In my previous life, I was a real estate broker and a top producer. I was coached by Joe Stump, and was a member of By Referral Only.

Jerry, This is Gale-one of the signs of the times our dealership no longer tracks/ records our phone activity. Thanks for the kindness you have shown our industry-I am sure you will find a gracious and worthy candiate..

I have known Jerry since my days as V.P. of Sales at CallSource and he is certainly one of the best available when it comes to any type of phone skills training. I highly recommend him.
