BUSINESS OBJECTIVE

To utilize nearly four decades of experience in inventory control and management of automotive parts to help a company achieve their inventory goals while maximizing profit while minimizing overall costs.

  • In charge of all parts department activities in both the Rochester Hills and Wabash, IN locations.  Successfully managed both parts departments simultaneously using computers and phone lines.
  • Supervised eleven individuals, including hiring, training, firing and supervising the wholesale, shipping and receiving, delivery, counter staff.  Training included claims processing, returns, customer relations, back ordering, order processing and damaged goods.
  •  Anticipate demand for recall and technical service bulletins, order and acquire the necessary parts before the parts were no longer available, and ensure availability to satisfy customer demand.
  • Recordkeeping and conscientious efforts have successfully withstood Chrysler audits on numerous occasions (in 2005, the potential audit chargeback of $1.2 million was finalized for only $4,300).
  • In 2009, dealership profit increased by $496,000 by purchasing fast moving parts at half of the dealer cost from dealers who were not selling their inventory.  In 2008, savings was $300,000.
  • Over the last few months, Chrysler ARO was unable to fulfill rotor orders for brakes for the Town & Country and Caravan.  I realized that the VW Routan used the exact same Mopar part and purchased the parts from VW and was able to satisfy customer demand.
  • Organized the physical location of parts within bins and shelves, using numerical sequence which not only made the parts easily obtainable but also facilitated the physical inventory because the inventory sheets were in the same order as the physical location.
  • Managed warranty and core returns for both locations, as well as guaranteed returns and cycle returns.
  • Managed dealer to dealer sales and dealer to consumer sales.
  • Set wholesale prices, and calculated profit margins.
  • Managed accounts receivable and accounts payable for parts department.
  • Responsible for all parts related computer systems and maintenance.
  • Reconcile Chrysler shippers to parts invoices.
