People are such linear thinkers, so lazy.  This is a letter that I just sent to a realtor just now, who tried to prequalify me by email before meeting me:

"I understand. The point is that everyone who desires to buy does, eventually, from somebody.  The real asset is the prospect, the relationship, everyone they know, their families.
I understand that mine is a less linear approach, but I assure you that it works.

I started in sales many years ago.  I began by making a list of everyone, I mean everyone, who would give me an address to send car buying tips thrice yearly.  The newsletter was called "The Rothman Letter', was run off on a copy machine, had characters that my then very young daughter made as cartoons of me.

I acquired 750 families and businesses who bought all of their vehicles from me.  I got tired of licking stamps, and learned to do mail merge on a thrown away 286 computer with word Perfect and a dot matrix printer.
I sent a letter to the editor of the register guard, and became a weekly columnist.
I became the first to sell vehicles online, before there was a Dave Smith.
My online audience is now over 22M people worldwide who read everything that I write.  I can do any business that I choose with these skills, better than anyone else.
I helped to put DJT in office, predicted his landslide victory over two years ago.
Like I say, you never know who you are talking to, or what motivates them, or what they have not told you, until you ask.
I am available on Sunday, just need the exact address to show up to, and the time, and, yes, snowshoes may be good.
