What is time really worth when management hires a new sales person,,What are the new guys really counting on when hired?

Im sitting here wondering if i was on the other end of the table and just being brought into a dealership,what would my eyes expect from the dealer and the first thing that comes to mind is,i would be looking for someone to show me and train me,and guide me to the road to success....not just say ok there is a desk,start selling cars,its easy for that to be said to me cause ive been in it forever,but what are the new guys really thinking about the dealer...there is a saying that goes like this ...if the world around you sucks its the eyes that are looking at it...or the same if the world ere good

Robert, a very astute thought. (I'm impressed). New sale hires shoud expect to be trained properly, given the proper tools to do their job. They should be given every reason to succeed and not fail. They should be given a reasonable compensation plan to allow them to grow. We must always remember that it takes time to become a true professional It means staying with the basics, following the processes, allowing time to prospect, product training, contual education and role playing. Learning from people that do not have a pejarative view of you. Learning a piece at a time, being respectful to everyone and cognizant of other's roles in the puzzle.  What do you think?
