Social Networking is simply Social Skills with different technology platforms and methods of commuincation portals.

Let there be no mistake about how social networking works, or let individuals over complicate this simple process for you!

Have you ever had a one way conversation with someone whom that all they talked about was themselves? It's human nature to disengage and lose interest...

Social Networking is the perfect opportunity to learn, engage, participate and communicate with previous, current and future client opportunities.

The key to social networking is to be yourself and to participate in a genuine and professional manner. Offer educational tips to your brand freely, and have your product displayed without sales gimmicks.

If you take anything from Social Networking, it's that your clients NOW have a voice! Listen closely and they will tell you how to sell and not to sell to them...

Selling hasn't changed in the fact that you must be a better listener than a talker.

Thanks for the kind words Aaron, it's a real pleasure to know you as well.

A prime example of Social Networking is like when the Internet was introduced to Car dealers! The best sales people didn't want to touch the computer and wanted to grab that next up on the lot. While that scenario still holds true today in some cases, the Internet has changed the Industry as a whole without any question.

Profit margins are substantially less on more volume of car deals than ever before.

The Internet literally took the human factor out of the equation, while at the same time, companies were formed to better educate customers on invoice cost, trade value and finance options. Talk about an up hill battle.

That's where Social Networking comes into play!

Social Networking is the ultimate opportunity for a dealership to be transparent in their business practice with their client base, while at the same time utilizing these social sites as a simple means of soft sell marketing, and more importantly an open line of communications for clients.

There are simply 3 ways a dealer can approach social networking:

#1 Do not participate at all. This method will insure that a dealer has no presence among 75% of where car buyers currently exist, which in turn will guarantee no opportunity for growth in the online world of being Social.

#2 Create social sites and not utilize them professionally, effectively, and constantly. Start and Not Continue!

#3 Do it the right way. Customer Testimony, engaging content, fast response to conversations, and most importantly to reach out and be active. Be a servant and a solution to the Social community.

Social Networking is about being Social.

Referral and repeat customers hold better profit margins, and are best for business.

It might be time to jump in and be social?

Social Networking truly puts the most important aspect back into online sales - Human Factor!

Great Input Aaron...
