I worked at Ford Motor Company for over a decade in manufacturing, then Marketing & Sales where I was a Regional Zone Manager in the Chicago area. I left Ford in 2008 to become General Manager of a GM Dealership in Wisconsin. In 2010, having a huge interest in technology (and a shorter commute) I became the Internet Director of a small group of Ford Stores. Within the first month our store was ranked among the top 100 Ford Dealers Nationally for Internet Sales. Since then we have been on the list a number of times as well. I believe in process and follow-up. While I enjoy new technologies and creating websites I believe "NOTHING HAPPENS until you sell a car", and really everything that I do is based on that principle as well as managing costs. I shoot all my own videos including the one on our website using a Kodak ZI8 mini camera. I have designed and programmed a micro site targeting Chicago Ford/UAW plant employees and worked with Dealerfire (who I would highly recommend) to create a unique, custom, social media powerhouse website for our stores (www.yourfordstores.com). I am very much into podcasts and love learning. My current interests are SEO, building the most comprehensive video library for how-to-videos to assist customers in Ford's new technologies, and building a few more micro sites to help SEO and dealership branding. In addition, I am beginning to create a podcast to explore technologies as well as best practices. If anyone is interested in becoming a guest please let me know.
