With Fixed Operations accounting for a growing percentage of dealership profits, we are confident ecommerce for auto parts are becoming more and more important, just as online car sales emerged as relevant to the point of near necessity.

SimplePart was founded in 2008 and proceeded to build an online commerce platform for auto parts. We have focused on automobile dealers and OEM parts exclusively since 2011, and are on our way to over $5,000,000 in total parts sales for FY2012 with about 1,000,000 unique visitors per month to our client’s sites. In the US alone, DIY OE parts are estimated to be a $100b annual market; worldwide, the overall OE market is estimated at $600b. We believe we are uniquely positioned to capture a large segment of that business, as it transitions to the web.

We are self-funded and financially stable. We’ve built a normalized catalog of every OE part for every car sold in the US in the last 20 years, and a commerce platform that is unique in the industry – we’ve proven its ability to perform, and in Q4 2012 we’ll begin offering that ability to more than 20,000 dealers nationwide, for a low fixed price. We will also be starting up an online marketplace for OE parts, as well as offering our unique catalog to multi-brand dealership groups to operate as a stand-alone one-stop online parts source.

As we expand our scope and begin offering a product line with broad appeal, we will be building sales and support organizations, defining our position and message in a much larger marketplace, expanding our hosting infrastructure and maturing as a company. We expect partnerships to develop between SimplePart and other marketplace players as well.
