4 Ways to Procure Learner Driver Car Insurance

Car insurance is very essential because life is very unpredictable and you cannot really say when accidents may happen. Drivers with authenticating driving license and of preferable age would be able to get car insurance very easily. But younger drivers without a driving license or with a learning license find it very difficult to find car insurance because not many companies want to take risks and cover them with an insurance scheme.

While this is the typical scenario, there are some companies that have ventured out to cover that “untouched” opportunity in their business and cover even the learning drivers with a car insurance scheme. If you are a learning driver and are looking forward to procuring car insurance, here are 4 ways to do so.

#1 Extend Your Driving Lessons

Your driving lesson fees come along with car insurance fees. This might appear to be the cheapest way, but remember that you will not be able to practice driving yet and will be dependent on the instructor every time you drive. What more, this will also extend your learning period and it will be long before you pass your driving test. This will also add up to the costs.   Consider both pros and cons and then opt for this option only if insurance is still out of your budget.

#2 Short Term Cover

You may procure insurance for the car you a short period of time – may be for a period of six months or even monthly car insurance for learner drivers. This helps you to ensure your car even if you are in a driving school yet. With this, you can drive around your car (or anybody else’s) unless you are accompanied by a person who has a full driving license. You may want to purchase those insurance policies that last for about three to six months, as this is the typical period that DVSA requires a candidate to learn driving.

#3 Full annual car insurance

You may want to purchase full annual car insurance for your car on your provisional license and then either cancel it or upgrade it on passing your driving test. If you are between 18 to 24 years of age, it is likely that the premiums will be higher, but there are ways to cut this down. You may also want to look for companies that offer cheap car insurance quotes for learner drivers.

#4 Get yourself named in someone else’s car

If your closed ones are willing to help you learn to drive, they might name you as a driver in their car insurance. You cannot own a car under this option but will be a lot cheaper than regular insurance. However, the insurance premium for the main driver might increase considerably.

Important Point to Note

Before making any purchase or paying even a penny, make sure you read all the scheme documents and its terms and conditions. Sign on the document only after reading through the documents very carefully and go ahead only if you feel comfortable.

These were a few tips on finding the best learner driver car insurance in the market and procuring it. All the Best!! https://www.baddrivingcarinsurance.com
