This article will contain information on writing a good college essay and the steps one is supposed to take while writing an essay.

Once you have been given a topic/theme on what you need to write an essay, begin your essay writing process by doing your own research on the topic so that you expertise yourself on the same, may be through reading books in the library and make brief notes. It helps acquainting one with efficient knowledge.

Before writing sketch out what your essay will contain, or rather your essay plan .Tell the reader what each paragraph will be talking about.

These are the most fundamental parts an essay should not miss

  1. Introduction

An introduction in an essay is very important, because this is what determines a reader’s mind on whether to read the work or not, in other words one has to catch up the attention of the reader. The introduction part has to be very interesting. One has also to remember that it should be brief not so much detailed. It is at the introduction that one has to say what his or her essay has to do, an example is ‘This is what I want to say or to do’ and give your argument. It is at this point that you would be bringing your reader into the essay argument and he or she will familiarize with what the essay is talking about.

  1. Paragraphs

The paragraphs should be having evidence to support your arguments, expounding and at the same time elaborating ideas well, the writer has to be clear the best way he can. This should make the work of the reader very easy in the sense that he or she understands everything and it should be as if he is talking to someone on a one on one plat form. One can also use other people’s writings to support his arguments, especially if they are on the their school of thought is identical or near identical to yours.

  1. Conclusion

Nothing much is done at this stage other than concise sentence of what you have been saying, to make it more interesting one can end the conclusion with a quotation ,or some assignments for the reader to do more like food for thought so as he or she finishes this will leave him pondering on that

  1. Referencing

It is important for one to site where he or she borrowed his or her ideas. In short, one will be listing the details of your sources. It is unlikely that in an argument, all the ideas expressed are original from the writer, as such; he or she needs to give credit on some borrowed ideas. You can also buy an idea for your essay, for example at Essays Area writing help services. So look at the referencing page as a credit appreciation page.
