I often wonder how many DEALERSHIP salespeople are on this community...

I just want to wish all you dealership salespeople out there a very big "GOOD LUCK, GOOD SELLING" this weekend. That's right, "Labor Under Correct Knowledge".

Day end and day out, everyone goes back and forth here on how to sell more cars, new technology, old technology, traditional marketing, digital marketing, social media, social marketing, automation, qr codes, lead pages, blah blah blah.

You hear “we don’t need salespeople anymore” and "Salespeople are liars" (Oh and customers don't lie- "Sir, are you sure you earn $8,000 a month?"). Customers can just put the car they want in a shopping cart and go up to check out stand and check out with their new car, a pack of smokes, dog food, bread, and milk.

Most people who make these comments have never sold a car in their life or it’s been 30 years.  There are over 600 makes and models out there today and customers don’t have a clue what they want. It’s the salespersons job to work through all this with them, build a relationship, and finally decide what car makes the most sense for each customer based on comfort, style, MPG, price, and so on.

There are no cars to fix, paint, change tires on, straiten, finance, insure, and so on, if no one SELLS A CAR round here!

30 hour weekends are not out of the question. Car salespeople work hard and for that, just want to say, “Good job” and “Good selling”!

Every once in a while I catch a good post to read. This one was worth reading. Kudos for just laying it on the table.
