The Importance of SERP for Car Dealers ~ Search Engine Optimization

Search engine results page listing will determine the amount of traffic your website will get. Organic SERP is one main component.

What is SERP?  It stands for "search engine results page".  Internet users want to find their information--fast and easy.  This is the reason why it’s so important to be listed on the 1st or 2nd page results.  Most people generally browse through 1st and 2nd page in the search engines. Readers lose interest after the 2nd page.  It’s also been documented that 18% of users look at the 3rd organic link, and only 8% make it to the 4th link.  The higher page ranking is going to determine the amount of traffic you will receive.

What action do you take when you’re surfing the internet?  Do you go past the second page to see other results in the search engines?  I personally, don’t go past the second page.

There are three main components of SERP.

User Search String is the word or set of words that a user types in the search bar.  Most often, these are keywords.

Organic SERP listings are the natural listings generated by search engines based on a series of metrics that determines their relevance to the searched term.  These are webpages that score well in the search engines based on content, trustworthiness, backlinks, social media, news and advertising.

Paid SERP listings are paid advertisements or sponsored links in the search engines.  Websites pay search engines to have their web pages listed.

Car Loans in Houston is a website we designed and optimized.  It's getting consistent organic traffic and ranking 1st or 2nd page on different keywords or keyword phrases.  So the importance of properly optimizing and getting a website healthy and relevant is crucial.  It’s worth performing the proper optimization to get organic SERP listings.
