I'm curious as to whether anyone out there is having success with Carwoo. Granted, it's all about location, marketing, pricing strategy, etc. I'm looking for personal experiences.

Does Carwoo work for you? Are you a sales hero? Regale me with the tale of your victory. What did you do to make it work?

Or, if you gave it an honest shot and succeeded only in wasting a lot of time on grinders from out of state, I'd like to know more about what happened; if you are looking for that elusive, cathartic experience of venting about a terrible lead source, this thread is the place.

I know that I can't afford to turn away potential business, but there are only so many man-hours in a day and I don't want my people spinning their wheels when they could be focusing on more productive activities. I'm hoping that your experiences will act as a kind of divining rod as I decide whether or not to devote serious effort to Carwoo.

I've had good results with Carwoo.

 

For the most part, if the customer isn't too far away, they come in becuase of my competitive quotes.

 

Throwing in the stereotypes, the people are the same on Carwoo as in house.  What I find surprising is that a few dealers put out that "too good to be true price" say a $1,000.00 behind invoice and no incentives or fees.  I'd like to see that buyer's agreement when they walk out.

 

Now my CRM (Higher Gear) is efficient and terribly slow, I miss Dealer Socket.  So when it come to inputing Carwoo prospect into the system it takes forever.

 

Overall, I've been working with CW for 2 or 3 years now and I like it.

I've been using them for a few years now. I agree with Mark about how far away the customer is because location really does help. I'd just like to add that what I've found to be successful with CarWoo is to really use all the info available because there's more from Carwoo than with any other lead provider. Use the info and you'll very much pick up some extra deals. I took a screen shot of my last CarWoo lead and there a few important takeaways. 

1. I'm 10 miles from the customer so I'm already favorable in terms of location compared to the other dealers. 

2. I saw in the buyers preference he wants to lease and I used that information to start engaging with him. In fact, we're not even talking about the same car anymore that he originally requested so in essence unless he modifies his vehicle or starts talking to other dealers then I'm the only dealer and there isn't any reason to start a price war with myself:) Since he's asking me about insurance now I feel pretty good so far. 

3. I can see that my competitors aren't engaging with him very well because the most comments anyone else has is 2 and I've had 6. The lowest priced dealer has only had 1 comment (probably an auto response). 

4. Even if I didn't pay attention to all these details Carwoo provides a no brainer "Buyer Interest" bar which measures the prospects interest of each and every dealer offer. 

5. Going back to engagement you can also use CarWoo as a tool to measure how well you engage customers compared to your competitors. If your sales rep for instance only averages 1-2 comments but your competitor across town averages a significant amount more then you know you have some work to do, but if your reps get better at engaging all their leads then you'll probably notice the closing ratios of your other lead sources also increase:)

What lead provider gives you such awesomeness?  

In our competitive market when i was working with them while at a BMW store, I found that the absense of real rapport or dialogue to get past pure price were an obstacle. ALSO, because of the anonymity we ended up with some buyers we were ALREADY working a deal with who were trying to come in through the back door.

I believe in a mutual benefit in a deal - for me this is biased way toward the buyer. just my opinion, of course. your results may vary.
