Jim Dance, Auto Industry Leadership Trainer, Joins Keynote Line-up

Veteran auto consultant to help dealer attendees discover how great leaders and great organizations achieve measurably better results

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – July 23, 2012 – Jim Dance, is to be among the keynote speakers at the fourth annual (DSES), which is the industry’s most authoritative profit-building event for innovative dealers. Dance’s training is renowned for helping hundreds of automotive dealerships, dealer groups, auto manufacturers and industry clients, including General Motors, Chrysler Corp., Penske Automotive Group and NADA achieve measurably better results.

“The cornerstone of dealership productivity and profitability starts with having the right staff to do great work – every day, and Jim will educate DSES attendees on how to put the best processes in place to make this possible,” said DrivingSales CEO and founder Jared Hamilton. “Jim adds a much needed layer of insight on the mechanics of how great companies, and dealerships, became great. His blend of process management with structure and dealership cultural dynamics will enlighten and inform. We are thrilled to have Jim join the DSES line up of keynote speakers.”

Jim Dance created The WalterStrayer Company to provide leadership and management training programs as well as consulting services for a variety of organizations both small and large nationwide. Dance is also the creator of The Physics and Chemistry Concepts of Leadership Management Development Program, attended by thousands of leaders, managers, and bosses nationwide over the past fifteen years. Dance has also been deeply involved in the auto industry during the past twenty years serving as an Independent Trainer and Consultant for hundreds of automotive dealerships and dealer groups throughout the country, as well as automotive manufacturers, dealer 20-Groups, and a variety of automotive-related businesses. His clients include General Motors, Chrysler Corp., Penske Automotive Group, John Deere Co., to name a few. Dance has also served as a guest instructor and presenter for the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and American Truck Dealers (ATD) Dealer Candidate Academies, facilitating The Physics & Chemistry Concepts of Leadership Workshop for seven Dealer Candidate Academy Graduating Classes each year.

Dance speaks on October 23rd, and joins other DSES high-profile keynotes including Billy Beane of ‘Moneyball’ fame, SEO ‘superstar’ Rand Fishkin, mobile experience expert Luke Wroblewski, and an exclusive presentation from Facebook and Google.  Early Bird registration for the DSES is now available through August 15th for the 2012 DrivingSales Executive Summit Automotive Conference.

The DrivingSales Executive Summit takes place Sunday, October 21st through Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012 at the Bellagio Las Vegas and brings together the most progressive dealers in the country, along with world-renowned speakers, all focused on pushing the auto industry’s ‘innovation boundaries’ and translating the latest trends and business realities into solid 2013 action plans for every dealership department. The summit is 100 percent dealer-driven and has a vendor-neutral policy, meaning no vendor influence on presentation selection and adherence to a strict dealer-to-vendor ratio and is the only automotive conference where dealers decide the agenda, not the vendor sponsors. This translates into the highest level of learning for the dealer attendees versus other events where workshops are little more than glorified sales pitches.

Last year's summit was standing room only, and although DSES 2012 will allow for an expanded number of registrants, it is expected to sell out quickly.
