Mobile User Experience Expert Luke Wroblewski to Open DrivingSales Executive Summit

Keynote gives dealer attendees deep insight into mobile behavior and sets stage for three days of dynamic and inspiring keynotes; in-the-trenches, cutting-edge profit-building information and peer-to-peer collaboration

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – July 10, 2012 – DrivingSales today announced that the internationally recognized mobile experience expert and digital product leader, Luke Wroblewski, will be the opening keynoter at the fourth annual DrivingSales Executive Summit (DSES) taking place Sunday, October 21st through Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012 at the Bellagio Las Vegas. A sought-after keynoter and author of three seminal digital design books, including Mobile First, Wroblewski has designed or contributed to software used by over 700 million people worldwide.

Wroblewski, who speaks on October 21st, joins other high-profile keynotes for the DSES including Billy Beane of ‘Moneyball’ fame, SEO ‘superstar’ Rand Fishkin, and an exclusive presentation from Facebook and Google.  Early Bird registration for the DSES is now available through August 15th for the 2012 DrivingSales Executive Summit Automotive Conference.

“The demand for a fast, streamlined, user-friendly digital and mobile experience crosses all industries and automotive is no exception. Luke Wroblewski has been at the forefront of reinventing the consumer digital and mobile experience,” said DrivingSales CEO and founder Jared Hamilton. “Luke will not only inspire the progressive dealers attending the summit, but will provide them with a greater understanding on how the consumer buying cycle is changing and the opportunities responsive solutions provide. And as one of the premier experts in one of the hottest digital marketing topics – Adaptive Design – Luke will be able to provide DSES attendees with critical insights into how to incorporate a clean and informative mobile experience into their overall business approach.”

Wroblewski’s vast resume of experience includes being co-founder and chief product officer of Bagcheck, a social media website that was acquired by Twitter Inc. just nine months after being launched publicly. Prior to this, Wroblewski was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Benchmark Capital, and the chief design architect (VP) at Yahoo! Inc., where he led the integration of Web, mobile, and TV platforms into consumer’s daily experiences. He was also the lead user interface designer at eBay Inc., where he managed the strategic design of new consumer products. Wroblewski is also the author of three popular Web design books and has authored countless articles on digital product design and strategy.

The DrivingSales Executive Summit is the most authoritative profit-building event for innovative dealers. DSES brings together the most progressive dealers in the country, along with world-renowned speakers, all focused on pushing the auto industry’s ‘innovation boundaries’ and translating the latest trends and business realities into solid 2013 action plans for every dealership department. The summit is 100 percent dealer-driven and has a vendor-neutral policy, meaning no vendor influence on presentation selection and adherence to a strict dealer-to-vendor ratio and is the only automotive conference where dealers decide the agenda, not the vendor sponsors.  This translates into the highest level of learning for the dealer attendees versus other events where workshops are little more than glorified sales pitches.  New this year, the DSES offers opportunities for dealers/dealer groups to hold collaborative meetings before or after the conference to bookend the summit and allow for goal-setting, debriefing, and planning.

Last year's summit was standing room only, and although DSES 2012 will allow for an expanded number of registrants, it is expected to sell out quickly.
