2015 Ford F-550 Super Duty with CNG/LPG Package.

The 2015 Ford Super Duty is available with the CNG and LPG Package which allows the truck to run on Natural Gas or Petroleum Gas. Introduced a few years ago, CNG and LPG for the Ford Lineup has allowed owners to save a good amount of money at the pump while reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

Compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid propane gas (LPG) are becoming increasingly popular choices for those looking to cut fuel costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Ford offers the CNG/LPG Gaseous Engine Prep Package* that includes hardened exhaust valves and valve seats for improved wear resistance and durability for gaseous fuel systems. It's available on the F-350 Super Duty® Chassis Cab with the 6.2L V8 engine and on F-450/F-550 models with the 6.8L V10 engine.

The powerful 6.2L V8 is flex-fuel capable, so you can run on unleaded gasoline, E85 (up to 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline), or any mix of the two. Fuel injection and spark timing are adjusted according to the blend detected by electronic sensors. Also, the 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel is B-20 (bio-diesel) capable.
