Over the last 14 year my experiences include, phone sales training, Internet and BDC department implementation and training, as well as automotive human resources consulting. I have written a workbook (80 pages) titled Finders Keepers, "How to find and keep the best automotive sales and customer service professionals" after seeing the huge need for a simple "how to" plan for automotive management to follow. As an industry we are notorious for impulsive hiring and even more "impulsive" management styles. These two factors are the leading contributors in turn over, less than satisfactory sales performance and weak customer satisfaction scores. By implementing a simple consistent recruiting, interviewing and management process a store will realize a dramatic decrease in turnover and even more dramatic increase in sales gross and customer satisfaction.
