I have been in the auto business in "small-town America" for almost 30 years. I am not a strong dealer, but what I do well is hire great people. I do embrace technology, which I believe gives me an advantage in a rural market. I find that I can't do it all, however, because the cost of entry in much of the technology is the same for a dealer many times my size. In the 21 years in my current dealership, I have maintained about a 40 unit/mo average...and not proud of that....plan to change it.
