The following are two emails that I recieved from a dealer, read and see what you find wrong. Now keep in mind that I have gotten two of these type emails and from three different people at the dealership.

The sad thing is that I am sincerely interested in the vehicle, I am looking for a weekend toy to spend some time with my son, so I am not mystery shopping.

Below is the content of the email:

Dear Unavailable,
A few days ago you contacted us in regards to a 2001 Camaro. I just wanted to follow up with you to make sure that I have provided you with all the information that you were looking for. I wanted to make this purchase from  ******  Chevrolet Cadillac as smooth as possible.
If you would like more information on a particular model, I'll be happy to send an ebrochure on any of our new Chevrolet/Cadillac models or a Carfax Report on any of our pre-owned vehicles. I’m always available and can be reached by simply replying to this email or by phone at**** -786-2151 with any questions you may have.

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

As a family owned dealership for 36 years, we are committed to offering you an exceptional experience that will make you and your family, Completely Satisfied.

You should have received an email from Ken Hedrick, your Internet Sales Consultant, in regards to the availability of the 2001 Camaro. I can guarantee you will receive the best treatment from Ken Hedrick and from **** Chevrolet Cadillac. If you have any questions or would like additional information and you are unable to reach Ken Hedrick, please feel free to contact me personally at ***-786-2151 or mholt@*******att.com Thank you again for your consideration!

I blocked out the names and numbers on propose, but how can a dealership be successful sending out numerous emails to the same customer this way.

Maybe some of my fellow internet consultants would want to call on them. I'll give you the information if you would like.

But it just goes to show you that who ever the internet manager is and the GSM or GM are, they are not paying attention to details and that is why dealers suffer.
