What things are you looking for from your direct mail company other than:

 


- NCOA
- Clean/scrub against duplicate names
- Not to mail people in your database that don’t live near your dealership (within XX number of miles)
- Delivery %’s and where they get their prospect data
- Putting the dealership’s return address on the mail so the dealership sees how much mail was undeliverable
- Tracking numbers on the mail piece(s)
- Delivered results from the mailer

Other aspects that make direct mail campaigns successful, especially campaigns that are designed to attract new customers that don't exist in your database are:

 

- Ability to append demographic data

- Ability to append current car ownership data

- A/B testing strategies

- Variations on mailer size, stock, and call to action wrapper.

- Personalized mailers with integrated data from DMS with variable response codes/prices

- Ability to mail to latest 30 day new movers list
