Fran Taylor I picked a guy up hitch hiking on my way to work. Found out he was selling cars at the dealership I was training at. I got him focused on personal goals and prospecting. I wrote an article about this man. The article was called, How I made a million dollars in seven years selling cars.
5 hours ago · AutoMax Recruiting GREAT story...bet he isn't walking anymore.....who's next?
5 hours ago · Eddie Jones I sold a woman a car in 1992. She had recently lost her husband, had bad credit and was going to school for nursing. She had two kids. I got the dealer to recourse her a car. 2 years later she had great credit and had married Fred Berry (ReRun from the TV show "Whats Happening") I ended up selling them 8 cars over the years.
15 minutes ago · AutoMax Recruiting That Eddie is a great story and really drives home the point" Never judge a book by it's cover"...thank you!
AutoMax Recruiting Paul...I got my first sale. A walkup for a 2010 Mustang. I was definately more of an order taker on that one. Mainly though, I wanted to say thank you again for believing in me when noone else did. You've given me the boost I needed to make a change in my life, to make sure my children don't have to struggle. I ca...n't thank you enough, and whenever you come back around this way, give me a call and lunch is on me. Suffolk is slow, but it gives me a chance to get my product knowledge up to speed. I'm gonna make you proud, Paul, I promise. Unless, the only thing that makes you proud is a Steelers win. I can't help you there. Be safe...don't be a stranger. The way you went to bat for me, you could get the shirt off my back man, as long as I had on a wife beater. I haven't hit the gym in a while. Anyway, just wanted to say hey, and thank you. I'll never forget you, and I'll make sure my children know the story, of how a man who didn't know me from Adam took a 300 dollar risk for...

6 hours ago · David Keeney Dynamics That makes our vocation without question the greatest in the world!!!!That's the kinda stuff that keeps me up at night not being able to stop smiling!! Congrats to Paul and your team...
5 hours ago · Paul Hardy Thanks Craig! I change peoples lives for a living! And thanks to you too Wendell, great last name by the way lol.
5 hours ago · AutoMax Recruiting It really is a thrill, I remember a frew years ago I was at a store that I had run earlier in my career and I was on the showroom speaking to the owner when out of the corner of my eye this HUGE guy was running at me...well I clenched my fists...just in case....lol...and this guy came over and picked me up off the floor with a big bear hug{I'm 6'2 ... See More200 lbs}...put me down and asked if I remembered him,I didn't and he then told me I had trained him a few years before and his wife had told him if he ever saw me again to give him a hug for what the opportunity had done for their lives and the lives of their children.....makes everything else seem far less important when stuff like that happens to you!
5 hours ago · Wendell Hardy I think that the best "gift" that anyone can be blessed with, "is the ability to be able to transfer talent". That has always been my definition of management. I heard that years ago, 10+ and it just stuck!
Without a manager that took me under his "wing" as a green pea, I would have surly failed, and missed all the blessings that this business has ... See Moreprovided me and my family. It is a true shame to watch people leave the car business without really ever having a chance to achieve.
Keep up the great work guys, It truly does change peoples life!
5 hours ago · AutoMax Recruiting "Transfer Talent"...I love that..we just may "borrow" that one

In the mid 90's I was GSM at a Honda Dealership in Cincinnati we were Cincinnatis number one Honda dealer for many years. I had a young lady come in and talk to one of my salespeople about her severe negative equity position she was in due to a recent divorce. The only recourse we had to help her was a 63 month lease on an accord 4 dr EXL. We told her at the inception that she would be unable to trade this vehicle for a long time like within a year of maturity. I didnt like long term leases but she was in a bind. About 2 months llater she returned to the dealership to tell me that her young son had crawled into the back seat in the Cincinnati summer heat and passed away.. The GM (a friend of mine) allowed me to transfer collateral give her a new car and work at knocking down the 15000 of excess acv i had to put in the car her son perished in. Tom Vincent
