Danny Sullivan, Global Search Marketing Authority and Founding Editor of Search Engine Land, Joins Keynote Line-up for DrivingSales Executive Summit

One of the most brilliant minds in search and digital marketing will teach dealers how to prioritize their online content marketing strategies and reach qualified customers through local search, mobile and social media marketing efforts in light of recent algorithm changes.

Salt Lake City, UT – July 9, 2013DrivingSales today announced that Danny Sullivan, widely considered one of the world’s top minds in Internet marketing, will keynote the fifth annual DrivingSales Executive Summit (DSES) which will be held Sunday, October 13th through Tuesday, October 15th, 2013 at the Bellagio Las Vegas.  Sullivan’s keynote, Racing to Keep Up with the Fast Pace of Digital Marketing, will focus on helping dealer attendees navigate and thrive through the constant flux of new search engine – and digital marketing – rules and algorithm changes, from mobile to local.  The keynote is part of a line-up of insightful and inspiring experts and innovators from in- and outside the auto industry – all providing actionable tactics for issues critical to dealerships, from branding in a crowded marketplace to reputation management to team building.

“Online marketing is challenging because it changes so rapidly.  New platforms emerge and algorithms updates happen daily that affect the underlying strategies that dealers use to connect with customers,” said DrivingSales CEO Jared Hamilton.  “Our 2013 DSES keynote line-up cuts through the clutter to focus on exactly what dealers need to know to be profitable. No one is better equipped to guide our dealer attendees through the current search engine landscape than Danny Sullivan, who has been leading the charge on search engine tactics for nearly two decades.”

Sullivan began covering search engines in late 1995, when he undertook a study of how they indexed web pages. The results were published online as "A Webmaster’s Guide To Search Engines," a pioneering effort to answer the many questions site designers and Internet publicists had about search engines. Sullivan currently heads up Search Engine Land, which covers all aspects of search marketing and search engine news.  He also serves as Third Door Media’s chief content officer, which owns Search Engine Land and the SMX: Search Marketing Expo conference series. Sought after by the media for his search engine expertise, Sullivan is also a very popular speaker at national and international marketing events, including SXSW, Adobe Digital Marketing Summit, PRSA Digital Impact, SearchFest and Webfest Global.

Sullivan’s DSES keynote Racing to Keep Up with the Fast Pace of Digital Marketing is a turbo-charged journey through the latest trends in SEO and search marketing strategies. Covering a wide range of marketing opportunities on Google, Bing, Facebook, Twitter and beyond, automotive dealers will learn how to prioritize their digital content marketing strategies and reach qualified customers through local search, mobile and social media marketing efforts.  Attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of cross-platform content opportunities, as well as with best practices for search and social media that can be implemented immediately in their marketing campaigns.   Among the topics to be covered in the keynote are: the current state of search marketing strategies; the changing dynamics of local and mobile SEO; what Google is doing to help brands and consumers; how marketers need to respond to new rules and best practices for retail/automotive - tip/tricks/secrets and content marketing strategies.
