Dr. King believed “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy.” What is a motivational quote for most was a creed for Todd Beamer and thousands of others that fateful 11th day of September 2001.  A few were fortunate to have picked up the phone and make one last phone call; ironically they were more concerned with the futures of their loved ones and not of their
own-their lives were over. While looking down the barrel of death, husbands called wives; daddies called home and children called their parents. Their lives and stories are all different, but they all shared one common thread, Love. Todd and so many others heroically gave their lives, so that others may live. Hmm, sounds familiar.

Stand for something or fall for anything; not everyone can roll in a Beamer.

Stephanie, what a heartfelt share. I cannot imagine losing one much less 19. You are making them smile by the imprint you are making while here on earth. Thanks for sharing, thanx for the inspiration.

Powerful message, Marsh.  One that touches so close to my heart.  I have 19 friends I will never grow old with.  I have 19 heroes that gave their lives as an investment in my freedom.  I have 19 patriots that count on me to wake up each day and carry on their memory and live a life worth living for.  Eternally young, never forgotten and always cherished are those 19.
