Truecar is here right now. How do you deal with it?

I have been reading about truecar over the last week or so. There have been strong opinions on each side of the issue. The reality is truecar is here for now and probably will not be going away for quite some time. I don't have time to wait. I need to sell cars right now.

Question: A sales call comes in and the customer says they have a truecar certificate to a dealer that is 50 miles away. Then the question from the customer is "will you honor the truecar price?"

How would you answer the question?

What process is in place for your sales team?

Has your sales team heard of truecar or Zag?

Stan, I strongly urge dealers to show a little backbone and stand up and tell consumers... We will not honor any  Truecar ZAG deal, including and especially USAA AMEX, Etc... that is below our true cost... I am told that in the Tri-State region, one manufacturer is receiving as many as 300 complaints in a day from consumers when dealers would not honor the TrueCar Price. If enough dealers crank up the heat by rejecting these deals, TrueCar will die.

Great post Stanley!  I love friendly competition but despise the division in the industry TrueCar has caused.  It is not healthy for the industry as a whole and nobody wins!!!  I can't wait to see how the leaders of the industry respond to your questions...It is really a critical and very current issue!!!
