Who is John Zeiglar ?

How can I find the company he is said to work for, Performance Company?

What is a “performance writer”?

Why would an author allow his name to be mis-spelled regularly in the same publication repeatedly over many months?

Has anyone seen him registered on any Automotive blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn…anywhere?

John strongly recommends many company’s goods and services in his articles. I would like to know more about John, his consultancy, and the company he works for so I can more accurately weigh his opinions and statement of fact.

Feel free to post if you have any ideas on how I can get some of my questions answered.   Thanks!

My mis-use of "fiduciary".  Sorry.  I meant "financial".

I have never written under a pseudonym myself, but at one time years ago it was a common practice.  I'm a little concerned that this is bigger than I first noticed, since I see now that you are writing about this on ADM, DE, and even Facebook.  However, be that as it may, I can tell you that the FTC has cracked down on "reviews for hire" with fines, etc., before when a fiduciary association existed for a real person . . . so I guess if it is a pseudonym for one ore more writers, and the articles have reviewed products or services for gain . . . that might be a serious violation.  If it is a real person with a fiduciary association, that also seems to risk a fine, but then I'm not a lawyer on any of this.  Hmmmmmmmm...

I am saying someone is writing as an expert on many topics in our industry and appears to have access to what would normally be tightly held info. If a person or group of persons have molded a character out of thin air to promote as an independent or outsider then I would like to understand that. If that is established then I would like to know who invented him. If there was a violation of trust or ethics, I would like to understand that. It may finally come out that it is just someone who decided to bullshit dealers and investors and felt that they needed to create an author, consultant or whatever to promote their efforts knowing that in the end no one could ever be held accountable for their commentary, advice or claims. If this was/is the case, I would like to understand this....at present I can find know one who has ever met the man. As far as labeling as a pseudonym....This ain't no Harry Potter novel...this business feeds my family and educates my kids. Please let me know if you can shed any light on this Keith.

Thomas, are you saying this writer doesn't exist, or are you saying his name is a pseudonym?
