It has taken me nearly 4 years as a salesperson to realize how important follow up is. My sales and productivity are going up more and more each day.

Edward, you are absolutely right. It is a little difficult to program yourself in the begining because you don't see the reward for following up, but after a short while you start to see dramatic results.

Thanks Bobby I really appreciate the feedback. It blows me away how much money dealers are willing to spend for automated tools and things to do their follow up and how much money dealers are willing to spend to try and lure consumers in to get a sale - yet how little effort we are willing to invest in a relationship with our customers when all it takes is 30 seconds to say "hi, I was just thinking about you guys". 

 

We all gripe about how expensive advertising is yet we aren't willing to make sure all of our salespeople follow up. ATTENTION DEALERS: That won't cost you a penny!!!!!

 

Edward - Thank you too for the comment my friend! If we'd just master the basics and stick to the plan we probably wouldn't have to spend as much on all the other things would we?

Amazing how the basic steps do not wear out with time. Key is to program yourself and stick to the plan.
